DRIVING LICENCE AND AGE RESTRICTIONS
In order to rent a car, you must be at least 21 years old and have a B group driving licence for at least 1 year. Provided that the condition of being over 21 years old remains constant, the following conditions apply for economic, middle and upper class vehicles.
- For economic class vehicles, 21 years old and 1 year driving licence holder
- Vehicles for middle class 23 years old 2 years driving licence
- Vehicles for upper class 25 years old 3 years driving licence holder
LEASE TERM
The minimum duration of car hire is 24 hours for daily rentals and 30 days for monthly rentals.
ADDITIONAL DRIVER SERVICE
Additional driver service fee is ... TL per day.
In order for the vehicle to be used by a person and / or persons other than the renter, it is possible to add the Driver's Licence information of the additional driver to the Lease Agreement as an additional fee.
In case of any accident by the user and/or users who are not included in the rental agreement, all assurances will be deemed invalid and the renter and the person(s) using the vehicle will be held responsible separately and jointly.
Additional driver age restrictions and driving licence rental conditions are as follows;
- For economy class vehicles, 21 years old and 1 year driving licence holder
- For middle class vehicles, 23 years of age and 2 years of driving licence
- For upper class vehicles 25 years of age 3 years driving licence holder
VEHICLE DELIVERY AND COLLECTION SERVICE
The vehicle you have booked will be informed to you in our offices and your credit rating will be checked and evaluated with the Findeks application of the Credit Registration Bureau. If your credit limit is not deemed appropriate for prepaid bookings, the car rental fee will be refunded to you within 3 to 5 business days.
VEHICLE DELIVERY REFUND OPTION PERIOD
For delays in returning vehicles, an option of up to 60 minutes only applies.
FUEL
The vehicle you rented is delivered with a full tank of fuel. If the fuel is not delivered at the level specified on the contract, the fuel fee and service fee will be reflected on your invoice. The service fee varies depending on the location of the rental.
PAYMENT TERMS
The total rental amount and security fees are collected at the beginning of the rental with the credit card of the person who rents the vehicle. There is no cash payment, debit and virtual card application.
The lease agreement is opened during the lease and is regulated according to the laws and practices of the leasing country. LOTUS CAR RENTAL lease agreement conditions are valid for the leases to be realised.
The difference in the invoice amount that may occur at the end of the rental is collected or refunded at the rental point. The credit card holder must be present in person during the rental. Rentals cannot be made with someone else's credit card.
In addition to the rental price, a certain amount of deposit is collected from the credit card presented by the customer according to the brand and model of the vehicle to be rented.
For this reason, there must be limit availability (up to the total amount of rent and deposit). The amount collected as a deposit will be returned to the same card at the end of the rental, after deducting the above-mentioned additional services, assurances, missing fuel, damage, penalties, etc., if any.
Deposit refunds are reflected on your credit card within 3-5 business days after the refund is made due to internal bank communication.
ONLINE PREPAID RESERVATION AND RENTAL
Online Prepayment means that you can pay your rental price and any additional services you have selected online, immediately. Online booking page; whether the booking is confirmed or not; does not replace the car rental agreement. The rental is made on behalf of the person whose name is on the Prepaid Reservation Form.
Due to 3D security, it is not mandatory that the cardholder and the reservation owner are the same person during online payment, the reservation owner must be able to present a credit card belonging to him/her during the rental and the deposit transaction must be realised.
If LOTUS CAR RENTAL is unable to provide the rental service due to its own reasons, LOTUS CAR RENTAL will refund the full amount prepaid by the customer. For rentals to be made from LOTUS CAR RENTAL rental offices, the return of prepaid reservations is limited to the amounts written on the LOTUS CAR RENTAL Prepaid Reservation Forms.
LOTUS CAR RENTAL Prepaid Booking Forms do not include additional services and assurances that our customers may request at the beginning or during the rental process, as well as fuel, one-way, traffic fines and damage costs (in cases where the conditions described in the section of the rental agreement in case of accidents and theft are not fulfilled). For these charges, our customers are required to present a personal credit card during the rental.
In order to extend the rental period, to inform / change the time and day of return, please call the office where you made the rental or our Lotus Car Rental Centre.
In case of an accident, breakdown of the vehicle or if you need support for any reason during the rental, you can call the Lotus Car Rental Contact Centre at .....
In case of periodic maintenance mileage of the vehicle during your use, please call our Lotus Car Rental Contact Centre so that you can continue your journey safely.
In case the vehicle is involved in a SINGLE SIDE accident, it should not be replaced; In case the vehicle is stolen, accident, theft and alcohol detection reports should be obtained by applying to the nearest police or gendarmerie station. In case of DOUBLE SIDE accidents, except for the cases stated in the following articles, the drivers are obliged to fill in the Material Damage Accident Report as specified on the report according to the way the accident occurred. In double-sided accidents, the traffic accident report is issued by the traffic police only in the following cases.
If a motor vehicle is used without a driver's licence,
If the driver is underage,
If the driver is suspected of alcohol or mental illness,
If one of the vehicles involved in the accident belongs to a public institution,
If damage occurs to property belonging to public institutions,
In the event of a traffic accident, only the belongings of third parties are damaged,
In the event that one of the vehicles involved in the accident does not have traffic insurance,
If the traffic accident resulted in death and/or bodily harm.
ASSURANCES and EXTRA ASSURANCES
A description of our assurances is given below. The explanations are general and for information purposes. LOTUS CAR RENTAL reserves the right to change this information from time to time. The assurances included in your booking are included in your quotation and/or booking confirmation.
Extra assurances not included in your rates can be purchased from our sales offices at the start of your hire.
Personal Accident Coverage: Depending on the number of seats in the vehicle, it covers the driver and the people inside the vehicle.
Optional Financial Liability Coverage: Coverage for damages caused to third parties.
MINI DAMAGE
It covers material damages to the vehicle up to TL 2000 without the need for a police report with the written declaration of the customer. It does not cover Tyre-Glass-Headlight-Mirror damages.
MEDIUM DAMAGE PACKAGE
It covers material damages to the vehicle up to 3000 TL without the need for a police report with the written declaration of the customer. It does not cover tyre-glass-headlight-mirror damages.
During the reflection of the payments made to the credit card of our customers, all kinds of commissions, exchange rate differences, service fees, etc. that may be applied for any reason by the banks to which the credit card used belongs, are not under the responsibility of the LOTUS CAR RENTAL brand.
If LOTUS CAR RENTAL is unable to provide the rental service due to its own reasons, it will refund the full amount prepaid by the customer.
The LOTUS CAR RENTAL Prepaid Booking amount includes the vehicle rental fee and the additional services you have received during the booking. A personal credit card must be presented for additional services and possible extras (HGS, fuel, traffic fines, one-way, situations where the conditions described in the section on what to do in case of accidents and theft written in the rental agreement are not fulfilled, etc.) that you will receive from the office at the beginning of the rental.
TRAFFIC FINES
All kinds of responsibility and material traffic fines arising from non-compliance with the traffic laws in force belong to the user. Traffic and illegal bridge and motorway crossing fines that occur during the period the vehicle is rented but reach us after the end of the rental are collected from the person and / or company specified in the rental agreement.
The time that will pass due to the vehicles being held by official or local authorities for whatever reason is accepted within the contract period. For traffic fines written on the licence plate, the traffic fine is paid at a discount when the traffic fine is notified to us and is collected from our customers' credit card; simultaneously, the service fee for the traffic fine is also applied.
IMPORTANT NOTES TO BE CONSIDERED FOR YOUR RENTALS
In the event of an accident, it is obligatory to keep an accident report in accordance with the type of accident without changing the location of the vehicle or to apply to the nearest police or gendarmerie station to obtain accident, theft and alcohol detection reports and to inform the Lotus Car Rental Communication Centre numbered ..., which provides 24/7 service.
In case the vehicle is stolen, it is obligatory to apply to the nearest police or gendarmerie station and inform the Lotus Car Rental Communication Centre numbered ..., which provides 24/7 service.
Otherwise, all assurances purchased will be deemed invalid and all damages incurred will be collected from the lessee, including material and moral losses to third parties. In case of breakdown of the vehicle or in case of need of assistance for any reason whatsoever, assistance must be provided by dialling ..., which is available 24/7.
Please make sure that the Vehicle delivery and pick-up form is completed and mutually signed at the beginning of the rental and at the time of return.
MAJOR DAMAGE PACKAGE
It covers material damages to the vehicle up to 4000 TL without the need for a police report with the written declaration of the customer. It does not cover tyre-glass-headlight-mirror damages.
FULL COVERAGE DAMAGE PACKAGE
Material damages to the vehicle up to 5000 TL are covered by the written declaration of the customer without the need for a police report. Tyre glass headlight mirror is included in this package.

FOREIGN DRIVING LICENCE
Turkish citizens who will rent a car in our country with their driving licences obtained from foreign countries know and accept that it is only possible to drive in our country under the following terms and conditions:
1- Driving licences obtained from foreign countries can be used for a maximum of 1 year from the date of entry into our country.
2- Those who have been in our country for more than six months are obliged to carry the Turkish translation of their driving licences certified by foreign representative offices or notary public together with the driving licence while driving.
3- In order to drive in our country at the end of one year, it is obligatory to replace the driving licences obtained from foreign countries with the driving licence of our country.
Foreign country citizens who will rent a car know and accept that it is possible to drive in our country with their driving licences obtained from foreign countries under the following terms and conditions:
1- Driving licences obtained from foreign countries can be used for a maximum of six months from the date of entry into our country.
2- In order to drive in our country at the end of six months, it is obligatory to replace the driving licences obtained from foreign countries with the driving licence of our country.
3-LOTUS CAR RENTAL vehicles are forbidden to be taken abroad. The contracted driver accepts and declares this.
